My name is Dr. Laurence M. Kelly Jr., I am a clinical psychologist, and I have been providing pre-employment psychological testing and fitness-for-duties since 2011. I am a member of the International Chiefs of Police - Psychological Services Section (IACP – PPS), and in my tenure, I’ve administered over 2,000 evaluations to police, fire, corrections, and various other federal law enforcement agencies (U.S. Customs & Border Protection, FBI). I've also completed approximately 100 Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations and Independent Medical Evaluations for Public Safety Professionals. I currently work with over 100 Police, Fire, and Sheriff’s Departments across both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I am also happy to provide a list of references based on your geographic area (Southeastern, Northeastern, Central, or Western Massachusetts. Or, Southern New Hampshire).

I offer Pre-Employment Post Offer Psychological Evaluations (PEPOPES), Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations (FFD’s), Promotional Psychological and Leadership Assessments, Post Incident Debriefings (i.e. shootings, traumatic events that public safety personnel are regularly put into), and specialized trainings for administration and patrol officers (burnout prevention, working with the mentally ill, and compassion fatigue prevention).

Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, and other Administrative Staff will receive a phone call with a verbal confirmation and preliminary psychological results within 48 hours of a candidates testing. A written report will be completed within 10 business days, and Chiefs/Administrative staff area also offered personalized screeners which will help meet particular needs of each department.

Policing and Fire Science are a continually growing field. And, as a clinical psychologist with both a police and fire specialty, I feel it is vital to use the most cutting edge, evidence based, and thorough tools at my disposal. Public Safety, as a field, continues to become more dangerous, stressful, and important with each passing day. I take the work seriously, and I know you do, too. I look forward to working with you and your department in the future. If you have any questions, or would like a list of Police/Fire references, a sample report, or to schedule a test, please contact me on my business cell phone (781) 557-8197, or email me at: lkelly@ancorapsych.com. Thank you

Sincerely,
