Education and Experience

Sam Kellogg received his Master’s of Social Work from Wheelock College in 2014 and his LICSW Massachusetts certification in 2018. Sam has worked with adolescents and families from all different walks of life. Sam has provided therapy in a variety of settings: adoption agency, foster care, in-home, public and private therapeutic schools settings.

Therapy with Children, Adolescents, and Adults

Mr. Kellogg specializes in working with adolescents (ages 13-18), adults, and families. Sam has worked with clients surrounding: adoption, foster care, trauma, mood disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, learning disability, interpersonal relationships, family conflict, life transitions, and crisis intervention.


Therapeutic Approach

Sam uses an empowered client centered approach, because he realizes life is hard! Sometimes talk therapy for adolescents and adults is too intimidating. As a result, above all Sam’s approach is strength based using humor, candidness, empathy and psycho-education. Sam creates a safe, confidential, and respectful relationships in order to assist with challenging issues/life experiences. In terms of therapeutic approaches, Sam uses Strength based, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment based, Structural Family Therapy, Internal Family System (ISF) among others.
